Kenny and Kylie: March 2013

We started our journey to OK on Tuesday morning at 0600 and arrived in Albuquerque NM at 1730. On the way there we stopped at the Four Corners Monument, definitely something you only need to see once, but still cool! We stayed the night in Albuquerque and headed off the next morning (wednesday) at 0800, Oklahoma bound! We arrived at our wonderful hotel around 1600. It was so nice to be able to settle in and relax. Unfortunately I got a bug or car sickness and I was throwing up all night. Luckily I got some sleep and felt much better in the morning just in time for family day! After a brief demonstration of what our soldiers had been learning the past 10 weeks, we went outside where our soldiers were all in formation. I hid behind a building while Kenny's family went and gave him hugs (Kenny had no clue that I was coming). I met them in the parking lot, the look on his face when he saw me melted my heart. Luckily Kenny's sister Mia got a picture of it! The rest of the day was perfect, it went by way to fast! One of Kenny's good friends came along with us because his family was unable to make it, his name was Torres Jackson. They were both so excited to eat some real food and actually take their time eating instead of having to eat in under 10 minutes. We visited some places around town and took them to Olive Garden for lunch and Texas Roadhouse for dinner. All in all a perfect day! Alright here are the pictures :)
